ADT expands support for the Fuller Center with donation, volunteer event

ADT volunteers help children fill new backpacks with school supplies at a volunteer event in August at the Fuller Center in Boca Raton, Florida.

On ADT's 151st birthday, employees from our Boca Raton, Florida, headquarters celebrated the local community at a volunteer event to kick off our expanded ADT Safe Places partnership with the Fuller Center.

The nonprofit organization serves more than 1,100 children and 700 families each year across South Florida. Through a $55,000, three-year commitment, in-kind support and volunteer efforts, ADT is helping expand programs that deliver powerful results, including the Fuller Center’s remarkable 100% kindergarten readiness rate, compared to the state average of 43%. This investment underscores our belief that communities are stronger when they are connected.

At the kickoff event, held on Aug. 14, the volunteers decorated art smocks with preschoolers, and ADT donated 200 backpacks and provided boxed dinners to ease the evening for hardworking parents.

“This event reminded me that ADT’s mission is about more than security — it’s about caring for people and uplifting our communities,” said Joanna Greay, ADT Senior Financial Analyst. “Spending the afternoon with the kids at the Fuller Center and helping them prepare for a new school year showed me how our culture of service truly makes a difference.”

Families were also treated to special appearances from Billy the Marlin, the Miami Marlins mascot, and Florida Atlantic University athletes, and received frozen lemonade treats from our small business partner, Kimberly’s Frozen Treats.
