ADT is donating a total of $50,000 to the YMCA of South Florida and the YMCA of South Palm Beach County through the ADT Safe Places program. The organizations are each receiving $25,000 from ADT to best serve their community, with an emphasis on safety for all children, regardless of a family’s economic situation.

“The partnership is going to allow us to support financial assistance and need, ensuring every child can get swim lessons and be safe around water,” said Tara Montenaro, Chief Operating Officer, YMCA of South Florida. “We never turn anyone away for any need they have, from wellness to sports to youth programming and swim lessons.

“The YMCA is all about community and it very much aligns with ADT’s mission. This partnership ensures we can serve many, many more because of ADT’s contribution.”

ADT is proud to partner with organizations impacting their communities for good through the ADT Safe Places program.

"The focus of ADT’s Safe Places initiative is helping communities create safe, smart and sustainable neighborhoods. The YMCA is supporting children's lives in so many positive ways, from education to character development. It's an honor to help them with their goals,” said Darienne Page, ADT’s Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility.

YMCA programs, including preschool programming, after-school activities and youth sports leagues, provide children with key developmental opportunities. Mentoring is also a vital YMCA focus, providing teens with guidance through high school, into college and into their entry into the workforce.

“We want to make sure we allow kids to engage with their peers in an environment where they're comfortable, relaxed and can try new things. They can succeed. They can fail. They can do all the things that will make them a more well-rounded adult as they grow up,” said Jason Hagensick, President and CEO, YMCA of South Palm Beach County.

ADT’s corporate headquarters is located in Boca Raton. The company sees its donation as a way to positively impact the communities in which its employees live, work and serve. Aaron Miller, ADT's Vice President of Product Management and Customer Experience Strategy, sits on the Board of Trustees for the YMCA of South Palm Beach County. He is confident ADT’s donation will make a difference for families in South Florida.

“The YMCA really lives and breathes off the investment in the community, and the board's goal is to utilize those dollars best and make as much impact in children's lives as possible,” Miller said.
